Malbridge House

I’m waiting for the third thing!

Well they say things come in threes, my hoover died yesterday and my washing machine won’t spin today! Those of you who read regulary know I love my washing machine, we spend a lot of time together, filling, emptying, spinning, I spend more time with my washing machine than I do with Malc and the children!

Malc is having a look at it, the band has been ruled out and now we are onto the bushes, which I have been reliably informed by Malc who has no washing machine training what-so-ever, in fact I don’t think he even knows where the on/off button is! Sorry, I digress. The bushes could have stuck and just need to be spun around a bit to get them going. ( I know the feeling!)

I will give you updates don’t worry! At the moment my washing machine is on it’s side with it’s back off with a screwdriver being poked in it with such an air of authority!

The Dyson is kaput, luckily I’ve got a little cylinder one which will do for now, we’ve got wooden floors downstairs so it’s up to the job on them, just the upstairs carpets to get the crumbs from midnight feasts out of!

We had a lovely day yesterday, we went shopping, we don’t HE on Wednesdays after dragging five children round Asdas I find a cup of tea and a biscuit is needed instead!

In the afternoon we went to Upton Park, we go there quite a lot as it’s literally up the road from us.

I took some photos.

Five on a log

four on a log

Cody was on the log with them but it was quite high and he started screaming so I had to take it without him, what you can’t see is him hanging off my legs screaming his head off whilst I’m trying to take this photo quickly to keep the other four happy, which is why Soloman isn’t even looking at the camera. Lordy me, my life!

Today we had such beautiful weather that we skived! I’m sure there’s going to be enough rainy and cold days ahead to HE, so we thought we would make the most of the weather. We went to my Mums for lunch and the children sat on her garden swing reading books.

When we got back Eden painted all their faces, rehearsing for Halloween to go with their costumes.

make-up

I’m not putting all the pics up because it would spoil the surprise for Halloween!

After they’d finished we got out the home-made play doh. We threw the uncooked pink one pretty much straight away, it was quite messy and didn’t really stick together very well. The yellow cooked one was a hit though, from under 2 yrs to nearly 11 yrs, play-doh hits the spot every time!

You're never too old for play doh

Oops, I didn’t realise you can see their painted faces in the picture!!

Cody thoroughly enjoyed it!
