Recovery!

We’re well on the road to it! Staying in for a week did us the world of good. We’ve got a couple of little coughs left but we’re all well! Shh, don’t tell anyone!

This last week we’ve been so busy, yet I’m racking my brains trying to remember what we’ve done.

We’ve done this http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/Xmas/calendar/index.html

This is a brilliant site, get to the calendar, click on the date and it tells you about Christmas in other countries.

We’ve been doing this everyday but that’s all. HE has come to a stop until after Christmas, otherwise I wouldn’t have time to fit in the shopping, cooking, card writing, wrapping and all the rest of the festive fun!

The children also decorated these.

We put our decorations up, got a picture of the tree, it’s not very good, but  by the time it was up and decorated I’d had enough!

The children have been practising a play that we’re going to watch just before Christmas, we hope to video it. I’ve not been privvy to the details but I managed to sneak a picture!

Santa and Angel Gabriel

I didn’t realise that Santa and the Angel Gabriel appeared in the same play but there you go.

On Saturday we went to our local Wildlife club, they meet once a month. This month we had to meet on some Heathland and cut down some pine trees. We had to cut five down and then we could cut one for ourselves to take home. We all did many more than five. I took a picture of the children in front of one pile, there was a little footpath to the right of them and another pile, double the size of this one. We all had great fun and there was rather a lot of testosterone flying around as you’d expect with men with tree loppers ad saws.

We bought a tree home with us and we’re rather posh this year because we have two trees, one in the lounge and one in the kitchen!

I’ve also been out to lunch with my Mum which was lovely, I bought some wool to knit Malc a jumper with. I’ve knitted about ten scarves, some for presents and some for Eden because she loves scarves and likes to be colour co-ordinated, so she has to have lots of different coloured ones!

Today we had the cats spayed, so that’s another job done. Eden and I took them to the vets and then went into town to get the last four presents, I just have to wrap them all now! The cards went in the post today, I’ve got a few to hand deliver and I can then sit back and enjoy the rest of the festive season!
