Round Up

Yesterday we went shopping, the children were brilliant, especially at the till, sometimes if one or two of them are playing up it can be a complete nightmare.

Mum came up in the afternoon, I’ve been feeling quite out of sorts this week, I’m so annoyed at the injustness of our neighbours, their dog was out in the garden at 4-40 am barking, so I’m going to write down what I’m hearing from next door, not as a complaint but as a note to EH on what our normal background noise is, today their dog was out about 4pm playing with a squeaky toy!

To tell you the truth I don’t notice noise around me, I’m so busy, but I’ve been standing in the garden listening, there’s always a dog barking, a lawnmower going, music from somewhere.

We’re still waiting for the neighbourhood police to get back to us, she’s told us not to do anything different, but it’s hard not to tell the children off when I think they’re being noisey.

We had a letter through today, a bank is just dying to give us a loan and I’m so tempted to take them up on their offer and use it to move, just get away, I hope our landlord moves in the noisiest, skankiest family going, they’ll be begging us to come back!

Cody seems to be cutting his back teeth and has been quite grizzly and clingy, he seems to be better today, I can tell because he was back to his old trick of putting half a loo roll down the toilet! Bless, it’s so good to have a healthy, energetic child back!

We didn’t have a very good nights sleep, which is really saying something because I was in bed by 8pm and got about 6 hours in all. Soloman and Cody kept waking us up.

So this morning I was quite grumpy too, Mum came up about 11-30am and I think she wished she hadn’t. We had some lunch which cheered me up a bit! The children wanted a picnic on the lounge floor,so they prepared the food, Burley enjoyed most of Solomans as he left his plate unguarded!

Callum and Clark went home with Grandma for a couple of hours, so I sat with Cody on my lap and managed to read my library book, Eden caught up on her emails.

Mum came back for tea with the boys, Malc walked in the door and chaos reigned until tea had been eaten and things were washed and cleared.

The children have already done their Sketch Tuesdays as we’ve got a busy weekend planned and they didn’t want to miss it, it’s "Something that Swims" this week, I’ll post them sometime over the weekend.

We had news that our flat traveller ( Christmas Tree) is being returned to us, we’re going to keep Flat Bratz and Flat Pig until next week and then send them back and I saw on the traveller site that a host was wanted in the UK so I replied and we’ve got Flat Sarah coming from Australia, so we’re looking forward to that, the people sending the flat had heard of Poole Pirates which is our local speedway team, so I’m thinking of going to watch them and getting a programme to send back. They’d also heard of Dorset through Hugh whats-his-name with the River Cottage, now I know Linda you’re going to tell me his name straight away because one of your lads is a big fan!.

It’s my sisters birthday on Saturday so the children are going to make some cards for her tomorrow, hopefully whilst I finish off all the ironing, that’s the plan anyway.  I’m so looking forward to Malc being home for 3 days, I actually miss him which surprises me, don’t tell him though, he’ll only get smug!
