And so begins a new term…
We’ve been away for a few days in our caravan, so yet again I’ve been catching up on washing and ironing. It’s never ending in this house!
We had a fantastic time, too many late nights and too much wine!
We met a lovely couple, it started off with Callum playing with their little girl and then the adults got talking, we spent every evening together sitting around drinking wine, we got on so well that we’ve invited them to come to our house tomorrow for tea. They don’t go home until Monday.
Since we’ve got back I’ve been so busy that I’ve not even had time to upload the weekends photos, hope to do that tomorrow.
Last night I started sorting through the childrens school work, I’ve got a list of everything that I want to cover with each child and I’ve got workbooks sorted, I want to spend some time going through different sites and printing off worksheets. I really want to concentrate on Clarks reading this term, he can read most CVC words but I think that if we put in 30 minutes reading every day he would really progress.
I’m quite looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. Having these last few weeks off has been lovely, I can’t wait to start again.
Blogring:

Glad you had a nice few days away in the caravan.
You sound like you are getting really organised for this year. I love getting back down to work and planning everything. All the best for your new term.

I love starting back up as well. We school through the whole year, but we change gears from time to time. I got the art/watercolor stuff from your site and we’ve had a lot of fun with that this summer. Still, getting a good routine going and a clear direction always has its merits.
And how wonderful to have met such nice people that you are continuing a friendship.
Have fun!
Karen
