Back on Track
It’s taken nearly a week of upset but we seem to be back on track, we’ve not done a lot of HE, I’ve let the children do their own work and not instructed them at all because I’ve been busy writing letters and making phone calls, so today we were back on track.
After doing the housework, stripping yet another bed, the four eldest asked to peg out the washing, as I was otherwise engaged ( hoovering) I let them, one of our lovely neighbours later saw me and told me her and her husband were watching them out of their upstairs window killing themselves laughing, it was very much a team effort, one got pegs, one got washing, another held washing up to line and the last one put the pegs on! Great teamwork.
Eden, Callum and Clark finished off their entries for the SHE forum May competition, Soloman and Cody were back asleep by 10-15am, so I did a huge amount of ironing, still not all done, the Mount Everest of ironing has still to be conquered
We had some lunch when the boys woke up and put the dogs on leads and walked down to my Mums, about 1 1/2 miles. My brother was there with his girlfriend, he of art fame, http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/worksinprogress//cs-drawings.html
We stayed for a cup of tea, me that is, children had lemonade, and then walked home again, it was good training for Burley in particular as he pulls on the lead like anything.
Malc was late home from work tonight, the bus didn’t turn up so he walked home, that’s him done for! My Hero!!
He’s taken Eden to Guides, all the boys are asleep, peace for another 20 minutes until our whirlwind known as Eden returns full of the joys of being a Guide!
I forgot to explain yesterday, the Budgies are so called because they originate from Australia, so in the tradition of naming our animals we looked up places in Australia, although I think Koober is meant to be spelt with a "C" not a "K" which has been pointed out to me!
The children also did their Sketch Tuesdays yesterday which we sent across last night.
They had to do a telephone, here’s Clarks
Eden did a lovely pink one, Callum didn’t want to do one this week.
