St Georges Day Parade
Today was Callums first parade as a Beaver, I went along to help. It didn’t get off to a great start as when I pulled the pushchair out of the back of the mini-bus a car battery fell on my foot! Some mindless moron Malc had left it in the back of the van after he’d put the one from the trailer in!
So after limping back into my seat and checking I still had all five toes and an ankle bone, I made my way bravely to where we had to meet.
We all formed up and marched along the High Street following the town band, got to the church where the flagbearers lined up and we went through them into the church.
The little monkeys Beavers were all really well behaved and it all passed without mishap.
Malc managed to get into the back of the church with the other four, he was actually sitting in front of my cousin and her husband, after the service we took a picture of Callum and her son who’s a cub.
We walked back to the mini-bus where I let Malc put the pushchair back in!!
We took Flat Bratz with us and took pictures of it all for when she goes back, we also kept a programme of the service and the church sold postcards with the church on the front so we bought a couple of those.
We learnt about St George a couple of years back, Eden can remember some of it, but the boys can’t, so we’re going to be learning about him tomorrow. Eden has said she will write about him so we can send it back with our Flat seeing as he represents England. She actually volunteered, I know I keep going on about it, but I love flat travelling, it’s making my job sooo easy.

glad you had a lovely day. Flat travelling sounds brilliant (and saves on travelling expenses
)- we are considering giving it a go!
