A Day Off

Today we had a day of, we’ve done no work at all, aren’t we awful?

We had a lovely time out with some of our friends, we met at a local park ( not yesterdays, another one)  It was extremely muddy in places, but hey, that’s what wellies are for!

We walked for about an hour, unfortunately it started to rain, so as I have good knowledge of this park I though we could go and sit under a covered pagoda, getting there only to find it was already occupied. We did think of loitering around menacingly, hopefully they’d get the message and move on.

But we were brought up correctly so we moved on and decided to come back to our house, put a blanket on the floor and the children could have their picnic there instead. There’s nothing like a proper cup of tea either, as opposed to one out of a flask!

Our friends stayed until the middle of the afternoon, which was longer than we expected (pleasantly so.) Hopefully we can do it again, we get so bogged down with things, we’re always on the go, sometimes it’s nice to make the effort to meet with people and relax. (I just have to book it about two weeks in advance!)

Callum didn’t feel to good this morning when he woke and has slept most of the afternoon on the sofa, so I’ve dosed him with Calpol and hopefully things should run their course and he’ll feel better soon. I was only thinking a couple of days ago, apart from the sickness we had at the caravan, we’ve not been ill for months, I obviously spoke too soon!
