Operation-Save our seeds!
Well, we don’t get the best nights sleep in this house on any night, so losing an hour doesn’t help. I forgot the clocks went forward until 11-15pm, which then made it 12-15am, so I got upstairs pretty quickly.
Took the dogs for a walk to our local park, as the weather was nice it was quite busy, we’re very lucky here, there are lots of beaches and parks and woods.
Our local park has an enclosed swing park, lots of grassy area and also a sandy beach, with beach-huts, so the dogs love nothing more than to swim out, usually to join another dog that’s already out there. They all run back in to us, covered in rather smelly water, seaweed and sand. You have to try and avoid being shaken all over. There’s nothing quite like the smell of damp, seaweedy dog is there?
We got home and I decided to tackle the seeds, I repotted the runner beans and dwarf beans, nasturtiums, but I can’t find the lettuce seeds anywhere, they are rather small and black which doesn’t help. So I’m going to have lettuces growing up within all the other veg! I potted up some more lettuces and some carrots, Eden took some pictures for me.
Mum came to tea, I’ve got a fruit loaf in my breadmaker and I’ve made some choc chip muffins, we’re hoping to go on a picnic tomorrow if the weather’s ok.
I’m not sure what’s happened to Eden’s blog, this morning the playlist was there and working, but this afternoon it appears to have disappeared behind her Header, that’s tonights job then!
Callum read one of his new books, he’s really enjoying reading them to us and he’s very enthusiastic, which is great.
Malc has bathed the three youngest so I’m off to wash all the sand out of the bottom of it!!

Blogring:

Just as I was reading my wet smelly & muddy dog plonked himself on the only good carpet we have! Glad all the seeds are back, you’ll spot the lettuce anyway!

The park sounds nice, not sure about the damp dogs though, lol! Can just imagine from a stinky seaweed covered pooch and being gained upon ad drenched.
